What the single rarest game you got?

In Collecting

Well?
Mine would be Rodland complete, traded it for 14 nes carts, all common, the box and manual i got later from the same dude for free cause i helped him out getting some games he wanted.

Aaaaah forgot to log in again, sorry people, above was me!

I don't think I have anything that rare. My rarest might have been a factory-sealed Blue Marlin... I'm too cheap to spend a lot per game...

Hahaha, well if i find it worthy then i'd pay for it,some things i just have to buy.

Action 52 complete

Yeah-- if I found a mint complete rare game right now, I'd most certainly purchase it-- the more time that passes, the less likely it'll be to be able to find things like that...

Hello everyone, as far as rare games go I just found a nice copy of Qix today at the flee market. Box/instructions/cart...even the foam piece all near mint. If I remember right it's a pretty rare game. Other then that I don't have that many rare games in my collection.

That's a pretty awesome find-- how much did you get it for?

I got Qix and 10 other complete NES Games for 50.00. The 10 other NES Games were RBI Baseball 2 & 3, GunSmoke, Desert Commander, Nobunaga's Ambition 2, Romance of the Three Kindoms 2, Air Fortress, Vegas Dream, Championship Bowling, and Dusty Diamonds All-Star Softball. Not a bad deal

The only games that I can think of that are pretty rare that I have are Galaxy 5000, and Fire and Ice. I'll have to check my collection again...

Damn-- $5 a complete NES game? Even if that's Super Mario Bros., that's a deal!

I'm really not sure what my rarest would be, but I hear Stunt Kids is pretty rare.

Either...

Little Samson
Qix
Aladdin Deck Enhancer w/Dizzy cart

I'm afraid I don't have anything very rare or special, at least I don't know it.
I have a Famicom from the first Japanese production series, though.

And you find 5$ a game cheap? ... Go to Japan! If you know the right shops, it's 100 or 200 Yen (1-2$) for complete games and carts only games start from 50 Yen. (around 50cents)

Is Rodland also rare as Japanese version?
They sell it factory sealed on Yahoo Auctions for 1000 Yen. That's 10 dollars. Not so much...

Oh!!! And another one. 800 Yen. Factory sealed.

Is only the European/American version so rare?

Factory Sealed Bubble Bobble 2

My rarest game is probably Maxi 15. I also have Pro Sport Hockey, Donkey Kong Jr.. Math, and Stunt Kids

There's a new number one on my side:

-Cheetahmen 2 complete.

I think the most rare I have currently in my posession would be this odd Micro Machines cart that I posted about in another thread. the normal Micro Machines cart is pretty rare, but this one has a pin connector in place of the selector switch on the back of the cart.

MicroMachines is a cool game, i have a aladdin enhancer and i need a few more games and MM is one of them.

this is just the normal cart, I don't have the Aladdin enhancer, although I'd like to find one.

Yeah you can find them on Ebay sometimes if you check it often, but i had other priorities last year, gonna check for this year .

...

I didn't know that there was a Zelda II: The Adventure of Link with grey carts.
All the Zeldas I've seen in Germany so far had gold carts.

...

That's possible.
The first re-issues I remember were the classics series on the SNES.

I think the grey cart releases only came out in North America. On the subject of rarity, the grey Zelda is much rarer than the gold one.

I looked on ebay and someone in Austria sold a grey Zelda cart. Perhaps they also came out in Europe, but are still rarer than the American ones?

Maybe they did get released in Europe. I never saw one or heard about it in the UK so maybe some countries and not others. Anyhow, its only rare in comparison to the gold cart which is very common. Not really worth paying extra for. It's the same game after all!

Yes, it's true.
Weird to say that a gold cart is common and a grey cart is rare.
That's a rare thing.

hhmm, my rarest.
I'm not sure what the official word is on 'rarity.'
According to the Etler list I have several A-s: Blackjack, Menace Beach (complete), Fire n Ice, and Sword Master (complete).
DP has Menace Beach and Blackjack at "7s".

So, mine would have to be Menace Beach Complete ....blue
It's certainly no RodLand.

The rarest NES thing I've got is my Supervision 63 in 1.

Final Fanasy 3 SNES

I have it too, cool multi, nice games on it,the only carts i collect is supervision,i like them complete but for super vision i make an exception.

I assume from the emoticon that you're kidding, but please email me () if you're not. I can offer some cash or maybe we can work out a trade. Hopefully this pic lends some credibility. cheers

Mine has to be...the game isn't rare, but I think the price is. I got Metroid for the NES for 4 dollars (US) factory sealed

Well according to some rarity list Street Cop (a POWer pad game) is pretty rare.. Although it's not in high demand because it's pretty crappy..

The rarest item I have is probably Dragon Warrior for NES. It is sorta kinda hard to find you know.

I also have Ninja Gaiden III complete. Don't know if thats rare though. I picked it up for 15 bucks.

Chrono Trigger Probably.

I'm really not too sure... does anyone have an accurate rarity list for NES Games?

There are a few TXT guides out there, but I like to use the Digital Press Rarity Guide found at:

Mike Etler's rarity list was the first complete NES rarity list out there, and if I'm not mistaken it was based on the production runs of NES Games. DP guide is probably your best bet nowadays, since it's at least being updated regularly, and covers many more systems beside the NES. According to DP, my rarest NES Games are:

R9:

Cheetahmen II (Factory Sealed)
Myriad 6-in-1 (Factory Sealed)

-Speedy

id say Chrono Trigger and Xenogears.

I'd say Micro Machines Complete
The european version of Donkey Kong 3 complete
Supervision 76 in 1 and Death Race

My favorite is Bible Adventures by Wisdom Tree. It's awesome. I've got Blackjack by American Video Entertainment which is cool too. Oh and I got Exodus for the gameboy also made by wisdom tree.

Updated: Now, I think the rarest game I have now is Dragon Warrior II. Not much, but...

Fire and Ice is rare? I've had that forever... Pretty fun puzzler. I've played it half to death.

I also have Suito Homu, not sure if it's rare in Japan, but it's damn hard to find here.

Alas, I don't really have any rare games. I'm pretty cheap, plus I try to spread my loving between several consoles. I'm always on the lookout though

I don't think Suito Homu is so rare in Japan.
I looked on Yahoo auctions (in Japan they don't have eBay ) and there is one for 100Yen that ends tomorrow.

The other one is cart only for 1200 Yen and it seems nobody wants it.

And there is an unused but opened game, complete and in best condition, but I think nobody will pay 4800 Yen for it.

Update once again. Just bought Dragon Warrior III. I guess thats the rarest I got.

Kinda new here, but liked the topic.. My rarest game so far is my two copies of Tengen Tetris....

Either STILL my action 52 or this:

I have a few rare games... but the rarest would be a homemade Cart I have that has 31 games on it. I will post pics of it soon.. not sure of a value of it.... rarity guide wise... Maybe Bandit Knights of China

Mine would probably be a Tengen PacMania

now Lunar 2 probably.

flinstones 2 and PacMan namco.

Whoa!

I think the most rare piece in my collection
is this one. I love it:

Cospefogo.

nice , i got the Crap SNES version, atleast its crap compared to that version.

Dracula X is quite a game. Thank goodness I made my own, since that little gem is a beauty. Some guys have all the luck...

heh, Probably Chiller, Tiny toons adventure 2, or king of the ring. Not too rare, though.

mines Complete. too
