Good
By 8 Bit Junkie on 6/9/2006 12:30:24 AM
Another title all must own. This and Dr Mario are like a set. They should always be together, and if you have one, get the other if you don't already have it.

I like the music in this one. I'm playing the main game music on VirtuaNSF as I type this. I was searching through my nes music dir, and chose this one, so now i'm reviewing it.

Nothing beats Level 9 height 5 on the Section B. Takes a few times I must add to get it going, as the blocks fall fast, and if you don't put em just in the right place, it's GAME OVER.

Easy to find this one. It's everywhere. I want the tengen version too.

I like the ending with all the Nintendo characters. Even Samus is in it. :D

This is better
By NES HERO on 10/22/2004 9:13:30 PM
Many people are always saying Tengen's version is better.
Don't listen, this game may not have a 2-Player Mode, but it has good music, good graphics, and a great ending.

Score
By Stalin on 9/23/2004 11:14:32 PM
It sucks, it doesn't save score so even if you get really high you'll never be able to prove it!!!

By brandon on 11/28/2003 12:02:08 PM
this is one of the most addictive games out there, for any system. if you dont have this, get off the computer, and go buy it.
only bad thing is spending forever to beat level nine height 5 on game b and then you get that ending.

Tetris
By Alexzero77 on 11/15/2003 12:24:07 PM
This game rocks. The graphics and music are very detailed. My favorite part is at the end when it shows a few Nintendo characters (including Mario and Samus who is playing a violen). I have nothing else to really say about this game. On a scale of 1 to 10, (1 meaning bad and 10 meaning awesome) I would give it a 10.

The great puzzle
By Rohan Padiyar on 10/5/2003 9:52:09 PM
I loved this game. Developed by Aleksei Pajitnov, This was always included with the old GameBoy. The only drawback was that this was only a one-player game.

Tetris..never ending?
By Miguel on 7/17/2003 3:06:34 AM
Tetris has got to be one of the best classics out there. Although it may seem like the levels continue on and on forever after 19, I strongly believe that it doesn't. Believe it or not, I have mastered the game and have gotten to level 29. I was going to stop playing at level 28 since the speed hadn't changed since level 19, I thought it would go on forever like Spy Hunter or Galaga. The second I got to level 29, the pieces fell at incredible speeds, like we went to jupiter or something. You can.t even get a piece all the way to the right or left. I honestly believe that this is the last level. If you can beat that level, then I will bow down and kiss your feet. For those of you who want to get that high, just remember to keep it low, forget about tetrises or scores for that matter after level 19. Just keep goin and see for yourself. For those of you who think you got far in tetris, think again. I dont think anyone has gotten farther than me. I have made a total of 297 lines. But if you have please email me at ecuangel00@hotmail.com. You will be my hero. If you have any other information on the endings of games like Spy Hunter, Galaga, RC Pro Am, or any other games like that, please email me. I would like to know what games actually end and which don't.

A Fun Classic...
By ChemicalTrain on 6/19/2003 3:21:15 PM
This is one of the few games that you can play every day and not get sick of it. And when you do play it, you'll probably spend at least a few hours at it. It's a classic that can hold its own against the likes of Mario, Duckhunt, and Zelda. Get this one, skip the second.

Communism Squared
By Civil Disobedient on 5/5/2003 9:52:52 PM
This is the great work of Russian Alexey Pajitnov. Dumped on virtually every system in existence... you can find it anywhere, although I highly recommend the NES verion from Nintendo. The original Tetris shapes were made with brackets.

Tetris
By Jay on 1/25/2003 5:37:46 PM
Did anyone know there was 2 versions for NES. One is made by Tengen and the other is by Nintendo. If you get your hands on the Tengen one keep it its worth some money.

Tetris rocks
By Xpenguin on 10/29/2002 7:47:14 PM
Hey people, I never played this one, I only played the second one. Why is this one better? Is it easier? more fun? better graphics?? Tell me!

It's tetris
By Ironman on 10/19/2002 10:48:41 AM
If you have nver heard of tetris than you better pray that you just popped out of your mommas womb because if not than you are in a seriouse heap of shit. Tetris is only one of the most addicting and classic games that no matter what system it's on (as long as it's not 3d) and you will have fun. Why do you think so many gameboys were sold, you got Tetris with it. see a Pattern.

Tetris : one of the best!
By Alan White on 1/20/2002 4:27:48 PM
How such a simple idea became one of the most popular games in history I don't know! But I do know that there is nobody that hasn't heard of Tetris, and there is nobody who would dare to say that it's rubbish.
Another Nintendo classic! 5/5.

Grade: C-
By Hokum on 1/2/2002 12:26:43 AM
Tengen released an awesome version of Tetris for the NES, but Nintendo sued it off the market quickly and whipped up this version. It's not nearly as good, but it'll have to do.

Classic
By Matthew Maas on 11/24/2001 3:47:57 AM
I normally give detailed reviews, but I'm wasting space anyway because I can't say anything that everybody doesn't already know. Fun. Addicting. As original as the Rubix Cube.

5/5

Tetris is Greek for " is four"
By CroMagnon on 9/24/2001 2:40:40 AM
Tetris is the first game that I've programmed. You will find alot of Tetris clones on the net. I didn't think the game was fun until I got the "Levels" and original Tetris music into it. You can read about Alexey Pajitnov's Tetris here:
