Adventure of Error

In Zelda

Has anyone played the Zelda II: The Adventure of Link hack at Nes Player? Its called the Adenture of Error and stars that legendary Zelda II: The Adventure of Link character himself.

Some screenshots:

It's great fun. Check it out!

Ha! That's great... Is that the main character from Bionic Commando on the top screenshot?

That's cool. I already downloaded the NES ROM.

And that's an interesting website, too.

Heheh yeah i remember the adventure of error, cool stuff, still have the NES ROM somewhere on my pc!

Why did his parents name him "Error"?

Was he the result of an unplanned pregnancy?

???

Yes you've got to feel sorry for poor old Error. He felt so unwanted he stands around his unfurnished 1 room house all day only muttering the words "I am Error" to anyone who comes to visit. But in this adventure he fights back!

This sounds really cool. I'll have to check it out. I always wondered if Error actually had a pupose in The Adventures of Link, but know he gets his own game.

I can't download.

What can't you download? The zip file?
Or the exe?

pm me your mail address and I can send it to you if you want.

Nope! I have a paranoid mom.

Your mom doesn't let you download stuff?

That's what I said.

My Dads like that. He always told me and my sister to never download anything because he was paranoid about getting a virus.

Now I have my own computer I can do what I like!

Lucky Ducky! Once we get internet explorer working again, my mom might let me download macromedia.

I downloaded lots of stuff and never got a virus. You just need to be careful.

True, but my dad is under the impression that you can give a computer a virus by sneezing at it and he won't be told any different.

There's your problem right there. Go firefox.

What's the game like? Is Ganon the Evil dude again or somthing, never played Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

As far as I remember you have to defeat Link's shadow. Scary.

Try for info on all the Zelda's. Just read the walkthroughs and you have an idea of how the games are.

Thinking about it, if you go all the way through to the end of Adventure of Error you must have to fight Errors shadow. How cool!

Hmm, and this is an emulator game

Yes.
They patched the game so that you play with Error instead of Link.

Yea, apparently ppl are starting to hack into games to invent their own codes and stuff.

hey, I made the "Adventure of Error" hack along with Mike from nesplayer.. very cool to see a topic for it here with people saying they liked it. I put many, many hours into that sucker, and when we "released" it back then, it seemed to pretty much go unnoticed. So it's nice to know at least a few people dug it.

Good to see you here defgav . Yeah, weird about NES Forums, huh?

Anyway, I'm gonna grab a copy of this and check it out now. I haven't tried it yet, which is weird since I've been trying out hacks and homebrews lately.

that would be awesome to get the guy from nes reproductions to put that NES ROM in a cart!

I own .... I can put it on cart for whomever needs it =)

Actually, I had a question about reproductions. Am I right in thinking that if the donor cart is a PAL game, then it should work on a PAL system, since it'll be the right version of the lockout chip?

I'd be lying if I said a PAL version of Sweet Home isn't very very tempting indeed. I'm sure you guys know what I mean when I say playing a game via emulator just doesn't feel the same as sitting down at a NES.

Who came first? ? I know nes reproducions have been around a while, and produce a quality product.

Free ? Or Pay

im Guessing id have to pay.

Yeah, they both sell for 25.00 a cart. (Both sites)

Dang, this game looks amazing. As for viruses, I think it's saaaaaaaaaad (say like Alan Partridge) that these losers have nothing else to do.

Actually, I sell for 25, the other is 35 =)

Nope, im pretty sure i saw the owner say he sells his reproductions for 25.00. =)

EDIT: Hmm.. It appears you are correct, but i thought i saw him post on the nes forums stating that he sells for 25.00. but it looks like his carts are good quality.

It was probably my post you seen =) Ive been told my cart's are just as good or better, plus I guarentee them for life.

hey now, since i made the Error hack, do i get a cut of that???

Haha, yeah i think it was you necro. Did you have around 120 or so posts? or 12?
