Mystery Science Theatre 3000

In Off-topic

This has nothing to do with electronics or gaming, but does anybody remember that show, MST 3000? I have five DVD sets, and I still think they're funny.

Yes I loooooved that show then they didn't show it anymore which made me mad! where'd you get the DVD I must own IT .

Ha! Yes! Man, that show rocked! I'm all about it! Dude, the worst film I've ever seen was on that show... Manos: Hands of Fate. Oh............ God! HORRIBLE flick! Some of the really funny ones are Pod People, and any of the Gamera films that they mocked. Man, I LOVE that show! I also wish there were more, and look forward to buying the DVDs sometime!

I've gotten all of mine at Best Buy. I never figured I would ever buy MOVIES there, but one day I saw three MST 3000 DVDs just sitting there, so I had to get them. I've been grabbing them ever since.

Personally, my favorite episode with Joel was 'Cave Dwellers', a horrific Conan the Barbarian wannabe. It's in Volume Two, alongside 'Pod People' and 'Angels Revenge'. The guys just tear it apart.

My two faves with Mike were 'Pumaman' (Or was it Puma Man?), which was a Superman knockoff (POWered by mad Aztec skilz!), and 'Quest Of The Delta Knights', which was pretty much an undescribably bad Robin Hood/King Arthur... thing.

Manos was pretty bad, though. The writers were bombed out of their minds when they wrote that stinker. (Is that inappropriate? Tell me if it is)
It made no sense!

It's a shame about the reruns, though. Sci Fi Channel showed the later Mike episodes every Saturday morning for a while, but stopped when they played them to death. I imagine if Comedy Central would just relinquish their deathgrip on the early episodes, I imagine Sci Fi would play them.

Oh, and 'Space Mutiny'! That's the one with the recycled Battlestar Galactica footage! AND the actress who dies, and then shows up on the bridge as an anonymous secretary!

I used to worship 'Mystery Science Theater 3000'. I have just a few episodes recorded on VHS tape from back when the show first aired on Comedy Central. is a huge influence on my wellbeing (I even use his image as my avatar on other forums).

I actually have all the "Gamera" movies taped and even the very last show that Joel Hogsden was on (when they watched "Mitchell").

'Manos: The Hands of Fate' is one of the most popular episodes. It's actually one of the two films featured on the DVD ''

'Pod People' is also one of my favorites...
MAN 1: "What is that thing?"
MAN 2: "It looks like a cross between a pig and a bear."
TOM SERVO: "A ?"

And...

"You look like a ."

Other good ones (that I don't have) are 'Amazing Colossal Man' and 'Son of Godzilla'.
When I get my analog to digital converting camcorder, I'll finally be able to make my VCR tapes into AVI movies and then make DVD compilations. Yay!

Is that the one with "Ator the barbarian", where Joel and the bots spoofed the opening credits during the movie break? If so then Yes that is a masterpiece.

Don't forget the Giant Spiders ones.

"Go Packers! Wooooooo!"

And yes, 'Cave Dwellers' is the Ator one. "Like my letter opener? Made it in shop class."

I could go on quoting that show forever.

By the way, anyone remember what the werewolf movie was? All I remember was that I cracked up watching it.

Joel (or was it Mike), Tom, and Crow put on wigs and start singing a song, and afterwards you could still see their shadows wearing the wigs. Anyone know which one I'm talking about?

I'm a big fan myself, here's my site for all my MST3K movies.

You do have to sign up before using their torrent tracker, but believe me, its more than worth it for (almost) every MST3K episode in existence.

its 'werewolf', genius.

and im finally downloading this baby.

Yay! Someone bumped this thread up. This is one the top five best shows EVER! I have to admit, I loved Joel more than Mike. Joel just had an air about him. Maybe he just had better chemistry with Crow T. Robot. (my favorite character).
If I remember correctly, it was filmed in MN.

Everyone loved Joel more. Though I must say that I have a significant soft spot for Mike.

Oh. Dur. Hey, at least I knew it wasn't "I Was A Teenage Werewolf."

<- use if you like your RAM and CPU cycles to be usable.

Yesh, I do love the show. My dad has a few on VHS that he taped from back in the day. One I remember is "Teenage Strangler"? Always makes me laugh.

Why can't I get Bit Torrent working? I downloaded a .torrent, opened it in bit torrent, and it just sits there with no progress.

Sounds like you need to forward some ports. is an AWESOME site for figuring out how to do that. It has guides for specific applications with specific networking hardware.

Attention, peoples! MySpleen.com is up and running again.

Bit Torrent < U Torrent

Bit Torrent < U Torrent
Yep, I've been using uTorrent for 2 months now, constant traffic.

I have alot of Episodes on dvd and I would love to trade to finish off my collection. So if anyone would like to start a little dvd trading arrangement with me that would be great

At the moment, my band director Hooked me up with a shitload of DVDs which i dumped on my computer and is pretty much taking up most of my HD, so at the moment I'm downloading the missing episodes. As of now, I have every available episode from KTMA thru Season 2, and only about 40% of the episodes are missing from my collection, so...I'd be willing to trade around, but DVD-Rs ain't cheap. Although if we factor in some NES Games, well...maybe.
