PS2 Alpha Collection Featuring Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix!

In Modern Systems

Hey! It's your resident not-up-to-date doofus with another question/thread:
I've never played any of the Street Fighter 2010 "Alpha" games, and I noticed on my new EGM magazine back cover that Capcom is releasing a collection of these, with the Gem Fighter game, which I have played, (AKA Pocket Fighter) this month sometime.
The question is, what's the difference between "Alpha" and "regular" Street Fighter 2010s? And I've got Mini Mix on MAME, but it runs really slow. Is there any difference between that and Pocket Fighter for PS1?

The Alpha series introduced the whole super move concept, as well as heaps of new characters. it's pretty much a whole new game compared to the "classic" SF games. They play a lot like the Vs. series of games, except everyone's special moves aren't done with the same control motions.

If they'd stop punishing me and release the Alpha collectoion on the Xbox, I'd buy it for sure. if for no other reason than to have a legitimate copy of SFA3. Every "real" Street Fighter 2010 character makes that game a winner.

Yeah, sounds like another winner. Confounded video game/console list is getting too large. **Sigh**
Heh. And I just answered my own question and blazed through Mini Mix. No difference, except CPU processor slowdown gives me a bit more of an edge with these fighting games than the Playstations.
