Shadow the Hedgehog IGN REVIEW!

In Modern Systems

Gorgeous cinematics and a clever branching storyline feature. Mixes most of the major Sonic characters into the storyline. Basic menu work.

Dreamcast-esque. Lots of level variation and the framerate holds together on GCN and Xbox. (PS2 is another story.) But the visuals lack polygon numbers, texture detail, and fluid animation.

Forced 80s' rock music mingles with overcooked acting. At least the characters feature voice work, though. Runs in Dolby Pro Logic II.

Fundamentally flawed and dated mechanics. Thrill-ride level designs and sense of speed still captivate, but less so. Everything else needs work. Broken camera system worsens the experience.

A smart branching storyline invites gamers to replay the title to unlock new levels, but few players will have the patience to bother.

The sounds rubbish? There's a suprise

I wanted to get this game from the start. I still just might.

Yikes. Ill be sure to stay away from this peice of fecal matter.

Try the Game first...Play it like you never read the review.

i personally think all the big-name sites like IGN have bullshit reviews. basically they give the game a bad rap because "0m9 d00d teh grafix teh sux0rz!!1" (sorry for that 'leet sp34k' but i felt i had to) rent the game if anything. if you like it, buy it. or... you could wait for a preplayed copy, or a price drop.

Please. The big name sites are big for good reasons and their reviews are mostly ok, and because there is such a large user base that they will get called out on the miscalls, occasionally they'll re-review a game because of this fact. Why did you need to use the elite speak? I've never seen that on IGN, and from what I have read give a game a score based soley on graphics. Not even this review.4.5 Gameplay
Fundamentally flawed and dated mechanics. Thrill-ride level designs and sense of speed still captivate, but less so. Everything else needs work. Broken camera system worsens the experience. Isn't gameplay what really counts for all those people who don't care much about graphics.

Granted sometimes the reviews can be overzealous towards some games that are good and elevate them to great with their excitement.

Renting is ideally the best way to go. But I never rent because I hate going to a place hoping the game is there (especially with new games), I don't like having to toss three or four bucks down everytime I want to try a game and maybe to spend another 50 or so dollars if i want it.

is a good site if you want reviews.

Please. The big name sites are big for good reasons

Because they were popular in the past for giving accurate reviews, and now they're given a game, and a pile of money to review it "properly".
