Apparently, a new common thing that has ben on the news is the recall of the Xbox cords. The outlet cord has been now known to cath fire and many reports of being burned or carpets igniting have come up.

Xbox.com is giveing away some free outlet wires.

No, Ninja Gaiden III is the last NG game on the NES, and a very good one it is.

well, it seems MS is shipping the replacement cables... and they didn't skimp on the thing... self contained surge protector built into it!

Wow! That's a beast of a POWer cord! At least it seems they are fixing the problem quickly. Four days and he got it back? Quick serVice!

seems that after some more research, some people are getting the big ones, and some are getting just a normal cable... and some others still are getting a more smooth looking one with the protection unit. although the more smooth one I saw looked to be some sort of european plug, so I'm unsure about all of it...

EDIT: if you have an Xbox, I'd suggest getting the new cable, since it doesn't seem to cost anything, and free stuff it always cool

all you have to do is unplug the xbox when you are not using it and dont keep it on so long

...but it's free

thanks for the info about the POWer cables.. guessing xbox serial numbers was fun for a while.. lol.. those cables are used for heaps of things.. to me that said "guess the right number and you win a spare cable" =D
see if my three come lol.. one of them was a legit number from my fried xbox though..

Well im really glad i didnt own an xbox back then. I doubt i ever will though.
But i WILL play the Xbox Ninja Gaiden before i die , i can promise that.
