Great
By Elecman on 6/19/2006 3:16:28 PM
This series has some of the best music. Great sound tracks, and a great trilogy.

Get all 3.

Woo hoo!
By 8 Bit Junkie on 6/3/2006 9:34:32 PM
I will always enjoy this title, but the thing that annoys me is the Movie 'The Wizard'. Sure the movie had it's cool points, but they thought the kid was so good when he was playing this game. He was on level 1. LOL

This trilogy is good, but #3 is my favorite out of the 3.

Ninja GaiDen
By Robert L. Bryant on 12/18/2004 10:43:32 PM
This game, to me, will always have a soft spot in my heart. I love this cart, it has everything that games have become, with a few extras.

The cinema displays are simply unparalleled in any NES cart, and hold suspense better than any of the games out nowadays. The play control is excellent, seeing as how you can control your jump, but not outside of the realms of actual inertia. Your special move is done only by pressing Up + Attack. Very handy for tight spots.

The music in this game is hands down the best for any game that I have played to date. The soundtrack drives you to play more quickly, and, in effect, makes you play better.

If you haven't played this, then get on track, and experience the epitamy of AWESOME GAMING!!!!!

NG1 bad game
By Blood_SHadow on 10/12/2002 10:42:04 PM
I know i am the first to hate this game and alot of ppl will disagree with me on this but i dont find this game to be fun to play. Graphics-good Music-sucks, control-good, plot-sucks, attraction-average. I give this game 6.5/10
The second one is better, the third one is okay.
NG2= 7.5/10
NG3= 7/10

Another Ninja dies after an enemy touches his arm.
By ToddVania on 10/3/2002 3:29:40 PM
What is with the wuss ninjas in the NES world? This game pisses me off constantly, although I like the story format. It's cool for the time it was released. Otherwise, this is just too goddamned hard. I'd rather play Shiobi for a classic ninja with guts. 5 out of 10.

An action game with story??
By Ironman on 9/18/2002 3:58:40 PM
It's still rare today to find an action game with any kind of credible story. This is one of the first to introduce a story outside of rescuing the princess/girlfriend/president/world and more of a tale on one mans search for his father and the conspiracy that he gets into.

Ninja Gaiden stars Ryu Hayabusa, a kick ass action star before he jumped to Dead or Alive and was overshadowed by busty babes. But anyways the the story revolved around Ryu searching for his fatehr. He is a ninja and is armed with the legendary Dragon Sword. However in his quest he gets recruted by the CIA in an attempt to stop the Jaquio who wants to ressurect a demon slayed by Shinobi. From there Ryu braves the dangers of the Amazon and fights giant bosses and incredible odds to secure hs goal.

The action in this is constant and the difficulty high. BUt when it's all said and done this game is a one of a kind and is only overshadowed by teh second story (which EGM placed in there top 100 list). THis is a must own for any seriouse NES fan.

wow!
By Obi-Juan on 7/2/2002 5:46:40 PM
I played this game til I lost my sight! well almost. anyways this game is one of my favorites for NES and I wish i still had it.(sniff) I was at the last stage, and i died. You have to fight your father, but really you have to fight some thingie in the wall. Iwish I could have beaten it, but it's real real hard towards the end. I give this game a 9 out of 10.

New Gaiden Coming!
By J on 8/16/2001 1:31:18 AM
I'll admit, I've played NG2 and NG3, and they fall in comparison to the original Ninja Gaiden, but get ready for the next installment of Gaiden... It has been announced that Ninja Gaiden WILL be a new featured game on the Plastation 2 console. Hearing this news excited me, but they will create many different features that will take away from the original. Anyway, get ready, cause Ninja Gaiden is coming to PS2!!!

THE BIRDS! THE BIRDS ARE OUT TO GET ME!!!
By MI64 on 7/26/2001 11:42:32 AM
Ninja Gaiden..., simply awesome! (that goes for the entire series by the way!)

You are Ryu Hayabusa, son of Ken Hayabusa of the Ninja Clan Hayabusa. Your father has mysteriously disappeared after losing in a duel to an unknown adversary. You must find him and along the way discover the secret that he was trying to keep from falling into evil hands. Armed with the legenedary Dragon Sword and a variety of awesome special weapons and techniques (Art of the Fire Wheel, Windmill Stars, etc.) you are one BMF!!

This game is great! The grpahics, sound, play control and the special Tecmo cut scenes that develop the story line are just awesome! It is also VERY challenging. This is another "break-your-controller-in-half" games.

!Warning! This game will give you an unexplainable phobia of anything that has wings and flys...(just ask anyone who has made it to the last level before Jaquio....)

Great Game! 4.5/5

One of the best
By Pricetag on 4/4/2001 1:35:47 PM
Ninja Gaiden was one of the best NES games ever, period. It had everything that a good game should have. Ninja Gaiden features solid and challenging platforming action with tons of moves and ninja weapons, awesome graphics, incredible music that always fits the mood of a particular level, and excellent cinematic cutscenes that tell the story of the game while adding suspense and intrigue.

Any NES fan should have this game. It's one of the all-time best.

No way!
By Airhead_107 on 3/20/2001 8:37:55 PM
I swear i had this games perfected!Man, i could run through this whole thing a thousand times and still never get tired of it.I guess half the reason why i played it so much was because i could never beat the boss.Well ill be damned, i still can't beat the darn thing!Maybe before i die eh?

I rate it a 5!
