Battletoads & Double Dragon

In Games

Hi, this is my first post here, although I've been reading for a while. I must confess that I don't own a NES (although I used to) and don't have the money to buy one for now. Me and my friends have great fun playing Battletoads & Double Dragon, and think it's one of the best games on the system, just wondering what other people think?

I used to hate it, but now I like it quite a bit.

My friends and I wasted hours and hours on the Sega version. The three of us played co-op and switched off when someone died.

It was a very good and challenging game. I play it still every once in a while.

I would love to get my hands on a cart of that. Right now, the only version I have is the Genesis version. I like that, but the colors on the NES just feel more Battletoads-ish... if that makes sense. From what I've emulated, it seems like a solid title.

My friend has it with the box and the manual, but he doesn't own many other NES Games. Off the top of my head I can remember he has Swords and Serpents with the box and the manual too (everything he has is boxed and with manual). This is probably because he isn't a collector, just has these from when he was younger. I downloaded the SNES version on an emulator and thought the NES version was loads more fun - the bosses on the SNES are loads harder, and the enemies sometimes take more hitting!

I've never played it looks good though.

I just heard you can get it on game boy, which I would truly love! Anyone willing to sell it to me if they have it? Or maybe suggest somewhere online I can buy it, thanks!

I love that game! Well, I don't own it either on my nintendo or my game boy, but I have it on my computer. Why don't you just download an emulator and then the game or the NES ROM.

It's okay. Not as difficult or frustrating as 'Battletoads' (still has the occassional "cheap part".

Better two player "simultaneous" game than the original 'Double Dragon' for NES.

Much better overall game than 'Master Chu & the Drukard Hu'.
Might evoke some "pleasantness".

Double Dragon is awesome i remember playing that so much. But just a few years ago my friend showed me Battletoads i thought it was a pretty weird game at first but it actually isn't too bad of a game.
