Scariest Game on a Nintendo System!

In Games

Pick any game from any Nintendo System that you think is the scariest!

And NO Barney or Sesame Street doesn't count!

When I was quite little, I always though Castlevania II: Simons Quest was kinda scary.

Friday the 13th at night when i went into the houses and jason came out. That scared the hell out of me.

For the NES it would have to be: "Friday the 13th"

For the SNES it would have to be: "Clock Tower"

For the Gamecube it would have to be: "Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem"

I guess Shadowgate and the Uninvited are kinda scary when you're much younger....

Uninvited

Yeah, that's true.

'Sesame Street' isn't "scary" just really creepy.

'Uninvited' is probably the only game from the NES era that I find considerably scary. Being a "point-and-click" game, it's not in real time, so it misses that quick unexpected scare factor.
It does have that element of apprehension before you're about to open a door or confront a ghost.

'Maniac Mansion' has that quick scare from when one of the weird "Ed" family members finds you. It's like "Ack! Run to the next room and hide!"

Outside of those, nothing really nightmarish on the NES.

Unfortunately I wasn't scared yet by a game...

I'll have to go with that one too. It's definitely an unnerving experience walking around not knowing when a family member will suddenly find you and throw you in the basement.

NES, Blaster Master because when ever I have low health I am scared to hell about dying.
Newer stuff, Silent Hill

I've never been scared by an NES game, but Sweet Home definitely had the biggest creepy factor. When someone dies, you see them thrown bloodily against a wall.

oh god... that game is creepy as hell!

i never really got scared by a nes game really...

i usually got scared of my older brother for not letting him play the NES

Eternal Darkness was screwey! The more "insane" you character in the game became, the more screwed up and scarey the sounds and the music became. That coupled with the gra[hics and scarey crap in the game... don't play it alone at night with all the lights out.

Eternal Darkness was terrible.

Oh god how could i forget Nightmare on elmstreet. That game was the only nes game to REALLY scare the crap out of me. If your in the dream world after a while you start hearing the freddy comming for you tune and that crap even for 8 bit is friggin CREEPY. And level 2 had some creepy music as well. It starts off normal but then starts getting SAD. If that isnt creepy i dont know what is.

yeah exactly! one night i played for about 3 hours and then all of a sudden, the POWer went out on me! That really messed with my mind for a little.
