This game is bad ass!

The story line is the best part! Your playing with your pet frog, then it jumps out your window into some Radioactive waste (how it got by your window, you'll never know) Then, after your frog has mutated, it jumps into this hole in the ground, and you follow. At the bottom you find a huge tank, and a space suit. You get inside the tank, AND MAGICALLY you become the Blaster Master! And know everything!

I know what youre thinking you sick person you. What I mean is if he is going to kill and dissect the damn thing why would he rescue it?Tossing belivability aside, you jump into a fancy hot rod equipped with all sorts of stuff (we all have one...lol) and set out to find your frog. This game is a pain in the #$%.It kicks #$% though. The gameplay is great and having 2 different ways to play makes it better ie in or out of vehicle. The graphics and control are outstanding. The sound blows but doesnt on all nes games. I give it a 8/10. This is a great game to play just dont put your foot through the tv.Send any hate mail to McDick2002@yahoo.com.Have a nice day!

Sunsoft, who made a great Batman game, also created this, one of the most memorable titles for the NES.
This is an excellent game. There isn't really much I can say about this game to do it justice. Its one of those games that you just have to play for yourself.
The only weakness is an unsusual story line. |

I am the Blaster Master! I can whip this game in 1:26.35 seconds!!
Heh heh heh.... Give me your best time... oh, by the way, don't die, it'll slow you down...
also charge up your gun in the beginning, and don't get hit, you need the firepower. you really need it for the crab boss in L#5. the only exception is level 6, that stinking fire frog is a bia. grenade that sucker to begin with. Hey, all who don't know where to find level four, go back to where you started and hover!!

One of the Reasons the NES was so popular
By Ironman on 10/9/2002 9:45:19 AM
The NES had many classics. This was one of them. The basic idea was that a boy was chasing his pet frog when he fell into a tunnell that lead to an alien invasion deep underground. He finds a high teck tank (sweet) and uses it to combat the evil forces.
What made this game so outstanding was that the challenge was intense. There were times that you could be so overwhelmed in the difficulty that you may cry. IF you do you are weak and need to be beaten.
However for anyone who looked at an early Nintendo Power advertisment that came with literally every single NES game there was a trick to win. On even leveled bosses (2,4,6,8) uses the bomb weapon (B) and when it hits pause. Then leave the room for like 5-10 minutes and then unpause and the boss is beat. |

This is one of my favorite games, the graphics were great for the time and it kept me entertained for hours. I actually sold the game to someone, and then went out and bought it about a year later because i missed it so much.

One of the NES' greatest adventure games
By nephew77 on 8/9/2001 9:33:17 PM
I rented this title several times in the 1980's. The graphics, music, and controls are all very solid. You must drive your peculiar utility vehicle about, using it to swim, jump, fly, and blast. You will have to leave your vehicle to fight the bosses at the end of each level. Great difficulty curve: expert players should be able to get to level eight.
