Is this the unrealise Mike Tyson Punch Out 2

In Games

sorry if its a dumb question but the guy looks like tyson and the games has the same face down type of view

Wow! ive never seen that before!. I hope Roth or someone knows this because that is really intresting!

It was originally supposed to be the NES sequel to 'Mike Tyson's Punchout', but do to legal reasons (that I'm not 100% clear on), "Mike" was replaced by a clone with a similiar sounding name.

In this game, you play as the "Tyson" character and box against competitors from other planets. Unfortunately, the game play got a rehaul (for the worse) and isn't the same great boxing fest that was 'Punch-Out'.

It is a real game however, and a B+ rarity.

I don't think this is a sequel to Punch-Out!! at all. I mean, it isn't Nintendo that developed this game

Well, I recently tried the game out. Its a disgrace! Its no where near as good as Mike Tyson's Punchout! I didnt like the controls and the matches were far too long for me.

Even after Z.E.N said it was right?

yes

Even after Z.E.N said it was right?

You should have learnt by now never to believe anything Z.E.N. says!

Actually I think you are both kinda right. This wasn't an official sequal to Punchout, but seeming as the guy in it is called Mark Tyler (sound similar?) it's fair to say it was trying to emulate Nintendos game. A rip off rather than a sequal then.

If you really want to read more...

Make of it what you will.

yea I know daynum, but Z.E.N said that so normally it had to be true, the guy can't be . . . well . . . special . . . all the time.

You should know by now that specific "developers" don't always have a hand in the fate of certain game franchises (ex. 'Super Castlevania IV').
'POWer Punch II' was developed by a company called American Softworks and was originally titled 'Mike Tyson's Intergalactic POWer Punch', and was to be a psuedo-sequel to 'Mike Tyson's Punch-Out'. However, after good 'ol Mikey was given "jail time" for being a naughty boy, the title was changed to 'POWer Punch II' and Tyson was removed as the main character and replaced with the fictional "Mark Tyler" (although Tyson's graphical likeness still remains).

'POWer Punch II' is NOT a ' with there never having been a part 1.

Hopefully this clears things up (although I sincerely doubt it).

Now let this thread DIE because 'POWer Punch II' does not deserve any more recognition.

"Special ALL the time?"

Who do you think I am? Karnov?

(NOTE: For an amusing read on this 'POWer Punch' subject, go )
