Famicom on Australia

In Games

I have seen some on and want to know, if theres any place besides that because i will have to pay ridules amount of postage and etc, i want a famicom and some games, i got one famicom game but its a 4 in 1 pirate, so can any of you please tell me where i can get games and systems and etc for Famicom in Australia

At first you could try local used video game stores.

If they don't have it... you'll have to try eBay or other net auctions and live with the high shipping costs.
You could also plan a vacation to Japan. It's a great country and the easiest place to get famicom and related stuff.

Please read my Japan thread in the OT section on the topic.

I feel your pain I live in sydney and there is no used video game stores.
I tried ebay got outbidded by 50 cents.
I even asked my friends if they had any stuff but no one does. But i did score a free Snes with 7 games and an N64 though...

Actually if u look on ebay for awhile you will find a famicom in australia and most likely gat it cheaper than any one from the us, simply because you will not have to pay the shipping we pay. I have seen famicoms in australia that i wanted to bid on just cuz the price was cheap, but shipping was high so I just made an adapter from the game stackup and also purchased a few. You can get the famicom games to work on nes as well as the disk system Ive done both. It will save money!

I will be updating with newer pics soon, but as everyone has noticed from my lack of posts there has been alot going on.

Hey fellow Aussies You can also try your local weekend markets...if your from brisbane i can tell you a few good ones that always have a few games there.

Yay! More Aussies! I dont have weekend markets.. we have a few carboot sales though... I should run to them eh?

For something like a famicom I think Ebay is going to be your best bet. You'll be really lucky to find one in the wild. I was in Australia a few months ago but didn't even find any shops that sold NES Games let alone famicom ones (was probably looking in the wrong places though).

Sorry, Where in australia where you?
You probably werent looking in thwe wrong spots at all.
Ive spent many weeks running around second hand stores and such, and nothing. So its getting a little frustrating..

Hah, same as here.
They don't sell very much NES in the used game shops any more. You only get PS2, XBox, Cube, GBA and DS these days. Sometimes they have N64, PS1 and SNES, but older stuff is very hard to find.

Our North-American friends should know how lucky they are with their thrift shops and stuff...

I have a place that is a 15 min walk and a 5 min dirve away from my place that sells old games, i was buying NES Games for $2 and once $12, also i just got a whole heap of N64 games as they were dishing them out for $5, also some were $10 and $15, but i only got myself 1 or 2 $10 and one $15 one

I travelled from Sydney up to Brisbane. I went around the shops quite a bit in Sydney although not particularly looking for games. I was in the centre mainly although I did venture out to the Rocks (mainly arts & crafts there), Bondi, (mainly surfers there) and Kings Cross (mainly Hookers there ).

I liked what I saw of Syndey, it's a cool place, even if everyone did call me a "bloody pom"!

Trust me, if thats the worst you get called in kings cross your lucky. My Family is originally from england so im considering moving there when i turn 18.
