Gold cartridges

In Collecting

I have heard that these are very rare and are worth a real lot of money. What's the deal with these?

That's a lot of "hocus pocus"...I mean I have a gold cartridge "Adventures of Dizzy..I think thats what its called" and it's worth like 3 bucks. I have a Tengen Shinobi worth like 5 bucks. It's true that a few "rare" games are not grey in color...but don't only go by that. You should get your self a rarity chart.

I've of Course got the Zeldas!

The Gold Nintendo World Championship cartridges are extremely rare... but so are the grey ones.

Zelda is easy finding and somewhat cheap and YES is golden.

The Camerica gold "Quattro" series is RELATIVELY rare, but not worth much money. Interesting story behind ANY unlicensed stuff. A real collector is going to pick stuff like that up regardless of what its worth.

That's pretty much what I tell anyone that I have hunting for me.

if it doesn't look standard, grab it.

it's a whole lot easier than going into detail about which non-standard stuff to get specifically, and in the worst case, you get a double or two.

I'll pick up non-standard stuff just incase it is actually worth something and I don't know for sure off the top of my head or never heard of it before.

hmmm there's the Zelda's but the gold ones are so common, if I saw a gold cartridge i'd buy it, if only because the look pretty
