RARE-OMG!!!

In Collecting

RARE...E-bays most abused word...kind of reminds me of the overused word "FREE" by companies. So here is where we can sit back and laugh at all the people who use the word "RARE" ridiculously and at the idiots who actually think that, that particular game is RARE.

Yea I know that gets me so mad. I cant believe that someone would sell Mario\Duckhunt and label it as RARE. What a bunch of bullcrap. Should be illegal.

That is the Easy NES game to find IMO.

I've heard that people do that so that their item comes up more often on searches and whatnot. It's still ridiculous though. I bought that game for a quarter about a year ago when I was looking for a second copy.

Sometimes, when i see an item labeled as rare, games such as: Duckhunt/smb Double Dragon, Zelda, etc. that are really common, i send them a email telling how much of a idiot they are. usually no response.

That particular SMB/Duckhunt may be more uncommon than others. It has no "Seal of Quality" emblem on it.

Just an observation.

It's so mega super rare that he has put a BIN of $0.99 on it!

The whole argument of people using the word "rare" so that their items will appear in searches doesn't make sense to me. If you search "rare" on eBay you come up with about a trillion results. Hardly a good way to make your auction stand out from the crowd.

I don't search rare, and don't know who does. When I'm looking at a one game on ebay, the one that always catches my eye is something like "Free Shipping".

Same here never search on rare,it's insane what people call rare. The word rare gets raped alot for nothing most of the time.

Search for items that DON'T contain the word rare and you'll probably make cool finds.

That word is far too overused...

When I was first looking at expanding my collection I entered "RARE NES" into the search field of ebay. It was the last time I ever searched with the word rare.

Search for items that DON'T contain the word rare and you'll probably make cool finds.

Exactly. This is probably the biggest NES auction of the last week and the word rare doesn't appear once.

who would want 8-bit Porn.?

A very lonely man.

Either that or a die hard nes collector. I hear those Nes nudie games are very hard to find.

Heck man, I'd want it. If ONLY for the nakedness

It's actually a pretty fun puzzle game. I didn't know you actually had to use your brain to play it, but you really do. Yeah, I would love to have this game. Plus, my wife is REALLY good at puzzle type games, so I'd probably see alot of nekkid 8-bit chicks

Dang, I got outbid by $500 on that Looks like another lonely 8 bit porn less night

this is my name on

I know my game exchange has venice Beach Volleyball for NES, it has Cleavage on the cover(omg)

Which NES nudie game are we talking about? Bubble Bath Babes right? I think there were more but I only recall this and some poker game.

1. Hotslots (Hotslot)
2. Peek-A-Boo Poker
3. Bubble Bath Babes

"Rare" is one of many abused words on eBay. Another one is "mint". Apparently is in "mint condition" now too. Even games with scratched labels and sticker residue.

Of course, intelligent collectors who actually know what the true "rare" games are, know to never actually search for the word "rare". A knowledgeable buyer knows to search by "titles" rather than common/overused words in the descriptions.

3. Bubble Bath Babes

every time i hear that name i wanna cry. i passed on a complete mint one for $50 many years ago (about 4) because i had no idea what it was, and there was no way i was gonna pay $50 for such a crappy looking game at the time
