Jaws NES Review - 2/5

by chowhoundlove on Wednesday, March 24, 2004
I never played this until a few years ago at college when a friend got my defective NES to work (oddly enough, he and his roomate were the only ones that could make it work). Jaws was one of the games I had picked out from a "2 for a $1" bin at a used game store. I thought since I liked the film so much, I'd like the game. Wrong. You are basically stuck with the same blue background with generic fish, coral, etc., only able to move up and down, back and forth, shooting various sharks. All seems well until Jaws comes and it takes a bazillion dart gun blasts to even make him turn a different direction. Then if you succeed in driving him off, he just comes in later from the opposite direction and kills you. Nice.
