SEGA GENESIS POWER CORD

In Other Classic Systems

IS THERE ANOTHE CORD THAT I CAN USE ? FOR IT BUT I DO NOT KNOW WHERE I PUT THE ONE THAT GOES TO IT.

Caplock happy I see? Anyhow just use a AC adapter for the time being...And if you don't know where it goes...thats another Story. On the back of the system it says "A/V OUT ADAPTOR". It is the last slot/port on the right side...You can't miss it. And if you do....I think you need to see a docter about your eyes...

It's no sweat if you can't find the POWer adapter for the Genesis. What you need is a 9V adapter. You should try not to run it with anything over... unless you know how to replace a voltage regulator.

Going to plug the POWer into the AV port are we?

You can use any standard 9V 1A adapter with a negative tip.

if its model 1 you can use the NEs AC

I'm not positive, but I think the polarity is different.

I do not think the NES AC adapter will work the the genesis. You may be thinking of the RF Adapter which does work between model1 and the NES.

The adapter I have that I use with my model1 says the output is 10V and the NES adapter is 9V output.

maybe your right, but i have used my Genesis, on my NES and my NES's one my Genesis, and they've worked fine.

That doesn't mean it's a good idea.

It may be ok for a little while, but I know first hand that it isn't a good idea to run too much POWer to something. Things blow up. And let's face it... no one wants a genesis paper weight.

yeah and this little while has been thirteen years.
