The Pirates of Dark Water

In Off-topic

Man, I searched and searched for the name of this cartoon: "The Pirates of Dark Water". I saw this show on Cartoon Network when I was a kid. I never found the name of the show untill now. Has anyone else here seen this?

Yeah man, I think there were only 13 episodes ever made too. I remember only little bits of it... like they were looking for ... seven? thirteen? ... some number of items to do something with. I really don't remember what it was all about, but I used to love that cartoon. I'd watch it before school :P Definitely a good one that should've had more episodes made.

Yeah that's right, the adventurers were supposed to collect Thirteen Treasures of Rule, which possessed the combined POWer to stop an evil substance known as "Dark Water" from consuming the alien world of Mer.

Due to expensive production costs and failing to meet the airdates, the series was never completed, ending abruptly after 21 episodes with only eight of the thirteen Treasures collected...

It still was a show that I would never forget, I really loved it!

sounds kinda cool, so i searched for it and here's what i found

i'm downloading it right now

EDIT:

i googled "Pirates of Dark Water" to get some screenshots of the cartoon, because i don't remember it, but after seeing it rang a bell, i only saw it a few times. i don't remember much about it, just that monkey/bird thing

All the 21 episodes! Man, I want to download episodes from that too. Thanks man, I owe you one.

holy crap. I totally remember Fox promoing that series like no tomorrow. then it got crushed by the almighty one-and-only POWer Rangers.

I remember this cartoon. It was one of my brother's favorites. I remember the main character had a broken sword as a weapon which confused me when I was a kid. Oh wait, it still confuses me.

Oh, yeah...I forgot about that. I remeber it now though. The protagonist Ren, I think he had this medal thing around his neck too, and whenever the dark water would appear, he would stop it with this thing.

did anybody else try that .torrent file? it's only loaded 0.6% for me. i was wondering if anyone else had the same problem?

I can't torrent anything, until I can get my own internet connection up here. My brother's afraid that the evil multimedia corporations will get us if I do.

that's not gonna happen! tell him to "STFU N00b!!!1!"

Eh. I've told him it won't happen, but he's still worried. He hasn't been bothering me lately, so I'll put up with it. Besides, if my job interview goes well today, I'll be able afford wireless internet.

avoid 2Wire.... and Embarq!!!

Well, I started downloading it some time ago, and mine's reached 20%, so it can't be the torrent there's something wrong with...Maybe they just stopped seeding or something.

i found some clips on YouTube:

intro:

there's alot more, just search for Pirates of Dark Water

Awesome, man! I remember the theme song when I hear it from that intro, and the intro itself! Priceless. Now when I see it again after all these years, I realise how cool this was. It's just too bad that they never finished it...

What's really cool though is that you can see the first episode, and probably a lot of others too, in three parts.

So here's the first episode "The Quest":

Part 1:

Part 2:

Part 3:

Yeah, Youtube does the same thing with Thundarr and Metalacolypse episodes.

Thundarr on YouTube?! Gotta do a search... thanks for the info!

You got it.

Damn, I love Thundarr.

I've been watching Metalocalypse some time now, mostly because there's a Norwegian in the series.

What do you think of that cartoon?

I haven't seen Thundarr before, is it any good?

When I think back, there's another "not too famous" cartoon that needs mentioning: SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron. Man that show kicked ass!

Here's what I think is the official page for the show:

Here you can download all the episodes for the show, but note that these files aren't torrents.

sweet! you like SWAT Kats too? everytime i ask somebody about that show they either say "SWAT Kats? you mean cats?" (if i meant Thundercats i would of ******* said Thundercats!!!

thanks for that link, i'll be downloading some or all of the episodes for sure!

No problem, for me it's a must to see those episodes again. I would have to say the same thing to you as well. Finally someone else who has even heard of this awesome cartoon.
