Odd...

i placed 3 bids withing 30 seconds on one item on ebay and every time i was instantly outbid but the same guy. hmmm?

That simply means the three bids you placed were all under the amount of his highest bid.

Yeah, it seems the other guy had a higher highest bid thatn you. It's totally normal.

well how come it didnt show the highest bid? It was for a tshirt and it was like 4 bucks so i placed like 4.50 on it and then it would say youve been outbid blah blah..

That's how eBay functions. Once a guy places a bid of say 10 dollars, and the beginner bid is 3 dollars for example, it keeps showing that the current bid is 3 dollars. So if you go ahead and place a bid of 4 dollars, it says that you've been outbid by the user who bid 10 dollars. You can never know how much he bid, until you beat him. It's a pain in the butt, I know...

hmmm thats stupid

How is that stupid?

Do you have a better alternative to run the eBay website? I think it works just fine and is an excellent system if you know how to use it.

It's great if you are the high bidder, then you know that you are protected from beeing outbid since the other members can only see the beginner bid, or the bid that was placed before you beated it.

i like this system too. but sometimes it can go against your advantage. it's all apart of the eBay expierence

All in all it's a good system.
The only thing I don't like is that people use software to snipe auctions in the last second.
If you bid in the last second, please do it manually and let not cowardishly the software do it.

I know, it's happened to me a couple of times. For those of you who haven't experienced it yet, just go on and try to get it done so that you'll get it over with. The first time always hurts the most...

This was 500th post, I might add.

And so was a new Lakitu born here at the NESFiles!

Software? Roffle Socks.

I can do it manually no probs
