I am Canadian. My grandfather was from Wales, so I guess there is some welsh there, my grandmother's family (same side) is from Ireland, and as for my dad's side... well my last name is Holmes, and I'm pretty sure that's an english name.

Born and raised in Canada, I'm 25% Polish, 25% English, and the rest is a mix of Scottish and Irish but I don't know the exact numbers.

It's really interesting to hear where you all are from, as for my last name "Tuner", I don't know where it came from, I've found out that it is only 2 families in the whole world who has that name. So I guess I could use it anywhere in the world.

My husband is usually really good at figuring last names out (he knows quite a few languages. He says maybe british, or if it's missing some letters (over time people drop letters or if immigrates in the day came to the US the immigration people miss heard the names and f'd them all up) it could be german. My maiden name is swedish and when my ancestors immigrated here they took out an "H" and switched an "U" for an "O".

My husband and I are the only people in the world with our last name (if you don't count the ex wife whom hasn't mozied her behinde back to the SSI office to change hers).
