I'm still serious about a metal gear movie.

In Off-topic

I'm in the script stage. so far the story is:
Grey fox captured.
snake hired, and dropped off into jungle.
hilarity ensues

I'm going to need webspace, so anyone who wants to host that would be great.

I would love story ideas (within reason. I dont have a bajillion dollars like Lucas), and casting tips.

In my opinion i think games should be games and movies should be movies.

What about Resident Evil? No one said anything bad about that. I think a Metal Gear movie would be cool. I agree, some games should be left at that, but others would make kick ass films.

if a Metal Gear movie was made David Hayter (the voice of snake) should be snake he kinda looks like him

...

You could get the guy who played from the "Rambo" movies to be... well... "the Colonel".

And...

You could get Will Smith and Ben Affleck to play as two enemy guards who get killed off in the first minute (so they don't ruin the film).

Perfect casting!

hey! will smith is cool. well, Men In Black sucked and so does that new movie he's got but I only got two words for you. Fresh Prince. that was the best show and still is. I still watch it sometimes on nick at night. but yeah, Ben can die, I dont care.

I had an Idea for halo Metal Gear style.

I did not say I'm making a GOOD movie. I'm just making a movie. I dont intend a theatrical performance or anything.

I like your enthusiasm. My cast is small, bt effective..
My brother brian as solid snake.
My friend frank as Grey Fox
and just a few buddies playing other roles.

I just need Ideas on this front. I figured that gamers shold make game movies and not studio execs.

Maybe it'll make Sundance.

Or, and here's an idea, you could use the Lego Film Maker to make a Metal Gear movie. If done well, home made lego movies kick ass. Besides, think of how much fun you would have building the sets, and making the Metal Gear itself...

It'll take more work, but in the long run, it'll look better, and if it's tongue-in-cheek, it'll be better with legos. Hell, everything's better with legos. Legos rock.

Here are some examples of what you can do with the program:

Looks like I'm going to have to pick that up!

It's a few years old, so you have trouble finding it in stores. However, Lego has a mail-in catalogue that you can order things from, as well as it's web equivalent (I believe). I'm not entirely sure if it's still up, it's been a while since I used it, but if you could track that down, I'm sure you could get it from there.

EDIT:
Scratch that, it's not even available anymore!

But really, I'm sure that you can track it down, if you really want it. I'll try and poke around, too, see if I can find anything on Ebay or what-not.

EDIT EDIT:
Sha-ZAM! Not bad, considering its shelf price was $280. (It's worth 93 dollars right now. If it suddenly skyrockets to $795 right after I post, ee's no my fault.)

damn looks like I'm gonna have to do it webcam style. oh that takes forever and a day and a half.
