USA or only PAL version????pls help!!!

In Hardware

hi i have a guestion:

i just recently bought a NES at a store (PAL version) and i also bought some games, all of them work except for 1: tine toons. at the store i saw USA on the label and i asked if my NES could handle a USA version and he said that it probably could because most NES systems got chips that handles both USA and PAL. but now my game doesnt work properly because when i start it, you see the title screen and then the NES reboots and that goes frequently second after second like someone is turning POWer on and off all the time

now i like to know is this because the game is a USA version or is it because the game is broke and thats why its resetting at the title screen???pls help!

Sounds like it's an NTSC version. The lock-out chip does exactly as you describe when a game from a different region is placed inside an NES. If you don't mind modifying your NES a bit, you could get the game to work. Do a Google search along the lines of "disable lock-out nes"... or something to that effect. There are a few tutorials on how to disable the regional lock-out.

thnx a lot

don't be afraid to do it either. i have no clue what i'm doing when it comes to messing around with electronics, and both the NES's i've done that mod to were a success.

If you have a brain and a pair of hands, it shouldn't be a problem.

im handy with all kinds of technical stuff so i know this is not a problem to handle
