nes zapper drivers for pc?

In Hardware

I'm using a snes super advantage joystick on my mame cab which works great. It works through an adaptor in which you have to alter the gamepad/joystick cord over to a 9-pin serial connector, then that goes on to the LPT port. A program called Direct Pad Pro then lets you set up a nes, snes, psx, saturn ect. controller. I got curious and wired my nes zapper up with a 9-pin connector and Hooked it up to the second port. There wasn't any options for a light gun on Direct Pad Pro...so I tried the nes gamepad setting. When I pulled the trigger it lit up button four on the nes gamepad calibration screen...but wouldn't work when I fired at the screen on Duckhunt. Even tried a program called joy to key, set it up where the computer accepted the left mouse click and the light gun trigger as the same thing...it did register a light block on the screen but wouldn't kill the ducks. Anyone know of if zapper drivers are available on the net somewhere? I know there must be some way to do this...thanks.

as far as I know, the zapper won't work with this method because it relies on light, and using the NES - parallel schematics leaves out the wire/pin used by the zapper.

Dang....well, I've still got two USB ports on the motherboard, so guess I'll look into one of those USB light gun replicas. Thanks NES-Luke.

I tried using my NES with my TV capture card. All except the light gun worked. I think the problem is the sync rate. If you happen to have a TV out for your graphics card it may work with an attatched tv, but that would be pretty pointless.
