hard time removing the removing NES 72 pin connector

In Hardware

What is an easy way to remove it

I've fiddled with my NES 72 pin before, and I guess the best method is just to yank it out

Mine seemed like it was absolutely cemented in, and putting it back on was a pain as well.

I've found the best way is to hang on to the edges of the board, and press with your thumbs as close to the connector as possible, you may have to alternate pressure from one side to the other, but it's a pretty simple task.

as for replacing it, well, line it up, and shove it on, it'll make an unhealthy crunch sound when it gives up and goes on, but that's just the pins all moving at once, it's fine.

They're all well written and easy to follow.

I just held each part firmly and YANKED. You're not gonna hurt anything as long as you're not holding onto something that's going to come off. Like Luke said, putting the new one on is the painful part. It really sounds like you're messing something up, but they're a tight fit.

all i ever did to my old nes was use a thick paper clip bent in the shape of a square shaped J and gently pull up on each tab, it always worked for me and after your done the nes carts fix a little tighter into the console and work great of course I cleaned both the machine and the carts with proper cleaning kits either from nintendo or aftermarket.
