Cheap and effective alternative to New 72-pin connectors

I did this a few years back and my NES hasn't shown a grey screen since. Keep in mind that If you do this, it's especially hard to pull out Tengen cartridges.

Thanks, but this has been posted a few dozen times before in the hundreds of threads we having about the connector in the NES.

I did it a couple days ago, I was just messing with it trying to make it work when it occurred to me that the pins probably were weak, so I bent them up. I found that article AFTER fixing the blasted 72 pin connector
It is pretty hard to get the games out, but the pins will probably slacken a bit again. I can run them in the up position and they work fine.
