Good source for video game soundtrack downloads

In General Gaming

If you like video game soundtracks and if you like them free, be sure to visit Galbadia Hotel.

Lots and lots of game music. You have to download them track by track, but that's not that much of a hassle (i.e. if you don't try to leech the complete site). Downloaded the Baten Kaitos soundtrack yesterday.

Credit goes to cospefogo. He told me the address some time ago on msn.
Happy downloading.

And tell me what you think about it. What do/did you dl?

Manuel!
I love you!

Harvest Moon Back to Nature soundtrack!!!
Would have cost me $40 to import from Japan!
Thanks!

Good old Cosepefogo... give him my regards, will ya?

Great find, manuel!

That site is amazing! Many thanks to you.

Man, I have been busy... I now have many, many soundtracks, the highlights being Metroid Metal and Killer Instinct: Gold Cuts.

On the other hand, why the f*ck would I want the soundtrack to Myst?! Most depressing game on the planet.

It really is the best source for video game album downloading. This website has everything! Thanks again, manuel!

Most of the thanks has to go to cospefogo, though.
He wasn't on msn these days and not on the forums either, I hope he's fine.

Wayne's World?

Wayne's World?
YA RLY.

Wayne's World?

One of the best comedy movies ever.

I totally agree. The best thing about them is that the actors didn't do it for the fame, just plain simple to make a good and entertaining comedy.

Nice website. Ok, this may sound like a dumb question, but whenever i download one, it just plays in window media player, but I can't save it. Is there anyway, I can save them on my computer after downloading them so I can burn a CD??? Thanks.

Instead of clicking there, RIGHT click there, and select "Save file as" or the equivalent in your browser of choice.

Just right-click the link and choose "save as...".
Then you can burn it to any CD, e.g. with Nero or any other burning software.

When I right click it, I can't click on save as target....

Click on a game, click on the song you want, right click on "save link as" and it works. IE sucks, I hope you're not using it.

Thanks guys. I doesn't work on my computer, but it does on my bros laptop. (strange) Thanks.

That site seems to be temporarily down right now.
It's a great place. There is a lot of full soundtracks there. Some are actual game rips, others are taken from OSTs.

I highly recommend getting anything by Yasunori Mitsuda. Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, and Xenogears are among his best works.

Hitoshi Sakimoto is great too (Final Fantasy Tactics, Xenogears).

The music of 'Jet Force Gemini' is definitely worth checking out for those of you who like "epic songs of struggle". Ditto for 'Unlimited Saga'.

And of course, nothing tops Castlevania at its best.

Unfortunately, there aren't a whole lot of older game soundtracks though. Maybe that could be a future improvement.

I hope they are back soon. It's really a great page.

It's true that they don't have much older stuff, but that also may change in the future.

It's on and off. it's been having serious traffic problems recently.

Now they are on again.
They say "spread the word", but the more people download the more traffic problems occur?

I hope they are around long enough for me to download the stuff I like.

They have been there for well over a year or more. I used it alot back then. Very good site.

games!

It's a German site (so only really special people will be able to read all of it).
I think the word "Titelbild" means "Title screen". If not it probably means "lager" or "Hasselhoff" or something.

Not an amazing site but it is just about the only thing I've found in terms of getting NES music on mp3 format.

I'm special.

I love my NES music in NSF format.

That's true.
Aren't there plug-ins (for winamp or such) that let you convert the NSF files into mp3?

can convert anything it can play into many formats, depending on the plugins you have installed. It's been my media player of choice for a good long while now.

Thanks.
