I guess it wouldn't make too much sense using the nunchuck for racing games.
But perhaps you have an option to steer with the Wiimote, like in Excite Truck.

Care to explain how it's stupid? Holding it like a steering wheel would be a whole lot better than an analog stick. Especially if they released a shell for it shaped like a steering wheel with a mount in the centre for the Wiimote.
