Departure of a music great

In General Gaming

Well, Tim Follin is leaving the world of gaming. It seems it wasn't that great to him in recent years, but he made some great tunes that I still love to listen to. The most recent work of his that I have enjoyed is Starsky & Hutch for the PS2... funky and stankin' tunes right there My favorite work of his being in his NES days, with games such as Solstice and Silver Surfer. He truly had his own sound in that era. Anyway, here is his goodbye on his site:

Aw, that's a shame. He was awesome. I loved his NES work, but I'm not sure I know what his modern work is.

This is bad news. Although Tim Follin has slowed down on his composing for the past decade. I don't understand how someone this talented would just not recieve work. Don't game developers know anything good?

You'll find some at his .

Here's some samples...
- DreamCast
- PS2

I should upload all of his NES tunes and force you all to listen to it so that the rest of the world can see just how amazing this guy's music is for a chip-based machine with only 5 sound channels.

The 'Solstice' theme is still to this day one of the finest single compositions in all of gaming history.

He did I should have known...

Amen to that. It was so damn complex.
