Guerrilla War - The Greatest Battle Ever

In Games

...

Everything I know about the Cuban revolution, I learned from The Godfather.

Yes! The Godfather! Great film and even greater historical resource!
When I start my politics degree in september, i'll see if I can play that game and somehow get it to count towards my degree.....

Oh, no! We've got a political thread forming! Everyone, run for your lives!

OMG dude ur like the first person i ever met besides me who has even heard of the Guerilla War game. Yea i agree its a kick-ass game, but Field Combat could pwn it.

It's also a little known fact that the game "Commando" started life as an 100% accurate historical document of how Arnold Schwarzenegger single handedly conquered Switzerland.

I know you're new but...

EDIT - To say that I particularly enjoy 'Guerrila War', but mainly because of the arcade game. The NES version is just too easy, and not as impressive feeling.

What's wrong with "pwn"?

Its totally unnecassary and sounds quite Stupid, and is a word normally coming out of the mouths of mentally incapacitated Indivduals. Many members have stated that they dont use, or aprove of

"pwn"
(i had to seperate that from my other words, it is much to unholy to be attached with them.)

I've got to admit I've grown rather attached to the word "pwn" myself, along with "teh" though mostly in verbal conversation with certain friends I play online games with. It all depends on the usage though. In a sentence which is lacking 95% of it's vowels, all punctuation and comprehensible meaning, it's just annoying, but in a properly constructed sentence, I tend to let it by without a second thought.

Actually, one subject of scrolling shooters, here's another goodie: GunSmoke. Again, more the arcade version than the NES one, but I've heard good things about the NES version too.

Stuff like "pwn", "ur", "teh", "GB2Skool", "rawks" "w00t" etc. should only be used when they're funny. And most of them are never funny, except w00t which is always funny. w0000000000000t! (and I still have no clue as to what it means)

I love Guerilla war, as for historical acuracy though I seriously doubt two gigantic, identical, bald dudes threw Guevara and Castro into the sewers. Also the arcade version is awsome and the reason mame sucks. (someday I gotta get that board)
