List your collection?

In Collecting

How do you guys do when you list your (NES-)collection?
Just type all games you have in word, notepad, excel etc.?

Well, that was what I did until I decided to create a homepage that does that, and recently so have I made that homepage available for everyone so anyone can list their games (currently, only NES) on my page.
However, since it's new and not many members that have listed so am I sure lots of stuff is missing, but it's just to feature request. One thing that I know is missing is a review system.

Anyway, if you want to list your NES-collection, please try my site out and give me feedback on what's bad and what's good.

Have in mind that the site is new and lots of stuff might be missing, just contact me about it if you find anything.
Thank you.

Well, I joined, but I'm a bit confused on what to do. How am I supposed to make my list?

Also, this is pretty cool. I've been working on a Windows program that will allow people to list their SMS games out in just about the same format (in .txt form). I chose to make one with the SMS first since the NTSC games list is so short... kind of a testing thing (I'm a newbie programmer ). Which leads me to a suggestion...

What I've been putting in the program I'm making is a quantity for each item. Such as if you have the cart, there is a quantity box next to it that outputs how many of the carts you have. Same with box and manuals. I think this would be especially useful for people looking to trade and such.

If you could also make it a little easier to understand how to use it, that would be great. Looks like a nice effort so far! Keep it up!

Heh, that's my problem, since I created the site I think that everything is obvious.

Well, I have tried to write a Getting Started thingie (), dunno if it will help anything, but I hope so.

Otherwise, it's kinda:
1.) Grab your NES-cartridge/box/manual
2.) Look for the whole ID-code (NES-zz-yyy, where yyy is "country code", like USA for USA, EEC for Europe, SCN for scandinavia and zz is the game's own ID code)
3.) Login into my site
4.) Search for the game
5.) Find the ID-code and check the box for what you have and press the button to save.
6a.) Done.
----
6b.) Your box doesn't exist, or even your ID-code?
7.) Press the CReq Version button.
8.) Hopefully so is it obvious what do from here.

Do you also have Japanese games in your database?

Currently, not now.

But changes are being planned, and with the current idea so will Japanease games be listed as well (also with Kanji).

It's just to make it happend... *Rago is lazy from time-to-time*

Well, I post on another website, and I list my list here. You may see if it you would like to.

Well i have an ign account but it hasn't been updated for a while,i only use photo's really.

This is my first post. Here is my collection...sorry, it takes a while to load because of all the pictures.

A lot of PC games and Game Gear games are missing from that, and I only have 3 SNES Games I want to get some more SNES Games though, any recommendations?

For recommendations read through the SNES section. There are lots of threads with recommendations.
