FCE ultra
This is probably the best NES emulator available for most platforms. It is "open source", so it's entirely free.

NSF is a fairly new standard for NES music. NSF files are the exact music ripped
from the NES ROM and put into a tiny file. This music is then played on your computer
by these players.
