if you havent beat the star levels in other versions of this game youre weak, and you should try it out.ive been playing this game since I was 3 years old and it never ceases to amaze how much some people suck at it.

| Betcha love this game. t's cool. Peach was a red head here, that's a goof-up. I love the castles. Bowser is at the end, then a character that looks like Toad (and is not Toad) is there. I love Mario. Hey, who likes 4-3? That difficult jump? Add it here on the SMB page. In World 4, Lakitu is everywhere throwing Spinies. What's with that?! |

| I defeated this game at 5 years of age, technically this is the game that made me born! Dedicated at least 3 hours a day for a good 2 or 3 months, defeated without any warps also, BUT the last level is a croc of shit, dont get me wrong Ive been besmirched quite a lot but going under certain tunnels and jumping over other ones in the EXACT pattern or else you keep going in a circle and run out of time is NOT even challenging, its STUPID I beat it when I was younger out of SHEER luck, and damn mr. myomoto for all those wasted hours because of that stupid trick at the end when I wouldve beaten it in half the time without that idiotic level. However honor thy father and mother and your first video game I still rate 5/5. |

| This game rocks. The graphics may be poor but that make it fun. The game is easy and very colorful. On a scale of 1 to 10, (1 meaning bad and 10 meaning awesome) I would give it a 10. |

| It all was revived by a man named Shigeru Miyamoto. I love this game. This game is also popular in India on those Chung King systems. I also got this for my GameBoy color. I have beat this game lots and lots of times. I still love to play it! |

| This was a super fun game for all of us back in the 80's. The graphics and gameplay could mesmerize us for hours on end. And don't forget that catchy music! This was truly a revolutionary game that not only started the Mario Bros. Series, but also influenced thousands of future games to come. If you own it today, which you should since it is so common and so cheap, you won't enjoy playing it too often. However, it's great to pull out every once in a while for memory's sake. |

I agree this game is a classic. But after playing it so many times, it gets a little repetive. It was good for its time, But NOw days with so many sequels its hard being stuck wih this classic game. DOnt think i am a asshole i am being honest. I recommend mario all stars

| HAH! WHAT A LOSER! I beat the game, without cheats or warps. I hope you enjoy fighting a Bowser who not only spits fire, but throws hammers as well. That, and 8-3 is a bitch, full of Hammer Brothers everywhere. The last castle is awesome. Oh, I'm rambling aren't I. SMB is great. Sure its pixelated, and controls are minimal, and scenes and music are repetative, BUT ITS OLDSCHOOL AND IT RULES! 5 out of 5 stars woman! |

Holy man! This game is rad. I can get to level 4-3. Beat that, slumlords! I bet you can't even get past that tough jump! Meanwhile I get past it all the time (most). The only part I hate is when mario goes throguh tubes. That sound is sweet death.

This game is not as good as SMB2 or 3 but it is very good for the first game made for NES. The graphics look rushed but okay. The music... I dont know but for some reason when u try to hate it it seems that it is really good so i dont know what to say. The gameplay is good just kinda harder to control than SMB2 or 3.
This is also one of the first games I ever played.
This game definetaly deserves 10/10

Super Mario Bros. is an excellent game.
All the visuals are very colorful and make you feel like you are in another world.
Controls are very simple. Use the Control Pad to move, A to jump, B (held) to run or shoot fireballs.
There are more sounds than there needs to be, which is neat. For example, you might not expect (well, at least not back then) a sound for destroying an enemy, but there is a sound.
The platform gameplay is super. You jump on enemies or use fireballs to destroy them.
Although there are only 32 levels, the challenge is extreme.
This game rocks!

| Well for those old enough to have been about 7-14 when this was released you'll know that in those days this was as close to heaven as there was. It was simple it was fun, hell it was addictive. Basically the whole NES empire was built on the backs of those two little Italian plumbers. You played it by yourself, you played it with friends this was a game you just played. Sure it helped that when you bought a Nintendo this game came with it but what a game. For an entire generation the names Mario and Luigi were forever engraved into their psyche. Heck even the generation that followed will remember those names. This game is simple and fun. A Legend in the video game world. |
