What is this shit?
By Blockhead21 on 8/13/2004 7:15:09 PM
Yeah, a decent racing game. But however "Pole Posistion" for the arcade was alot better. Rad does not justify this insanely difficult, and buggy thing.

You have...two cars. And they both handle the same. And the music....is fine.

Rad Racer

Probably the best car racing game ever. I had a hard time beating it, but my mom played it for the first time and beat it her first try. 9 out of 10.

Hot Cars!

Love That Ferrari 328 Twin Turbo. I also own a similar game. "Out Run" by Sega for my Sega Master System. I love those games which feature exotic cars. I still love to play this game.

A Rad Game...

Rad Racer has very primitive graphics and very primitive gameplay but I have a lot of fun playing it. It is a throwback to the very first arcade racing games of the late 70's and early 80's. If your looking for a racing game that oozes with simplicity, then this game is for you. Just watch out for the trees!

Man

Very simple but very fun. Looks a lot like Pole Position but ditches the actual car vs. car format. The other cars on the road are lethal, but they pop up at random and are not racing against you. You have to beat the clock, and that can be quite a challenge. Your car even has a radio you can turn on and off. Yes, theres a 3D mode too but it's useless. Beautiful, if painfully simple little game.

Rad Racer

Rad Racer is a very cool game which comes with 3d glasses, which i never used though. I never really did see what was the fun in that, the purple screen didn't appeal to me. You can drive the game with a Ferrari or a Formula 1 car, but i really don't see the point in that. Ever seen a F1 car on the streets? It's also very cool that on every stage a different vehicle hits the road. The hardest stage is stage 5 (Los Angeles), hitting a Lamborghini easily gets you launched into the air. Overall rating: 7.5/10 and well worth checking out.

Options...

This is such a great game! The Game Play is average, but its the enhancements to the game that count! You could drive with the powerglove, grab the steering wheel with a U-Force, or throw some 3-D glasses on!

It's not your common car-racing game - you race against a clock, not competing cars. And the graphics are in the same veign as Pole Position. Still, it is pretty fun and offers a variety of different driving conditions. The sequel is an improvement, but I actually prefer this for it's simplicity.
