Megaman 3 NES Review - right beside Mega Man 1 the next classic

by Electrocut on Thursday, May 4, 2006
As i can see in here as well that some people don't get it set to write "reviews", huh?

What does something like:"I put MM3 right beside MM2" gonna tell us - right NOTHING! Or something like:"Great, great, great". Yeah, some personal expressions, eh? That doesn't makes sense for a review or a rating.

I'll do it again and give a full shot of what i think about Mega Man 3 - as i did befor for Mega Man 1.

Here i'll start right on with the sound (music+soundeffects)
Sound:
For the Music in that Mega Man Game i know one word - great.
The tunes are pleasurable to listen to. Each one sticks perfect to stage it was composed for.
For example the Music in Top Man's stage - wild and playful.
The tune in Snake Man's stage - just groovy.
The Tunes are even far better than those from Mega Man's first adventure.
The soundeffects are fine as ever
9/10

Graphic:
I like the way the stages are graphicwise done.
With that entry in the Mega Man Game History Capcom began to start on being more creative.
Snake Man's stage for example again. Snakes, nearly the entire level designed of mechanical snakes. Gemini Man's crystal cavern - charming, with all those flashing crystal blocks the cavern is build in.(don't come along with comparing to Flash Man's icy pit, that one from MM2 lacks substance). Just to name a few.
Well done throughout the hole game.
9/10

Gameplay:
As perfect as ever. No delays while controlling The Blue Bomber. That makes it a bit easier to players to get the right control to the game i guess. I liked that bit of delay in Mega Man 1, but it's no problem that Capcom "fixed"* that. *(to speak right form the soul of many).
And the new ability to slide is a fine addition. That makes this game even easier as Mega Man 2, you can dodge many attacks better with the slide. And here Rush comes in as well. Once i got the Rush Jet, there is no place where i cannot reach - that one can be controlled totally free in every direction. Awesome, it totally ranks out the Magnet Beam form the first Adventure (by the way the Magnet Beam is far better as those items in MM2). Ok, the Rush Marine is a sweet touch, but otherwise it is useless. For the waterpassages you can call Rush Jet on a dry spot and than fly through the water if you want. Rush Coil helps a lot in several places, but is not as useful as the Jet is.
Playing that part of the Mega Man Series is pure entertainment.
10/10

Difficulty:
Very Easy - very good for Mega Man beginners to start playing Mega Man games. The fact that one can collect up to nine Energytanks+saving them into the password makes it more easy as it already is.

What to say more? Mega Man 3 is technically and the way it feels the best game in the hole Series - imo.
