I Love Galaga

Me and my sister love this game. When it was taken out of a favorite pizza shop of mine, I was sad. Later, I got the TV Game with this game, Ms. Pac-Man. Mappy, Xevious, and Pole Position. You just shoot the enemies, if one life is captured by a galaga and the galaga is destroyed, you get double fire power. In level 4 & On, the space bees (you might call 'em) can transform. Level 3 was pretty challenging. I've only gotten up to Level 5. Hey, hey, hey, I get a high score of at least 20,000 sometimes. I love this game!

This truly is a classic game. It fills the need to just shoot shoot shoot. I don't recommend using the infinite lives for the GG tho, because after about 100 rounds it gets deadly repetitive but I still couldn't stop. Dual fire rocks as well! 9.5/10.

Best Game I'll ever play on the arcade

This is simply the best arcade game out there. I've played Galaga on the arcade and on the NES system. I remember I can get to stage 9. Up to 230,900 points on the arcade game. I also played Galaga on the arcade 2 weeks ago at a restruant.

I love this game. Galaga has been my favorite game ever since my arms could reach up to the controls on an arcade console. And the cocktail arcade version is even better. I couldn't ever dislike a Galaga game. The NES version, however, is easy compared to the rest.

This is a classic. VERY addictive and fun. If you don't like it, you're not human.

GALAGA is probably the most popular and addictive space-shooting game of the original arcade era. The genre began with Space Invaders, was taken to another level with Galaxian - but Galaga (actually a direct sequel to Galaxian) made it truely timeless. It added more action & oppertunity for strategy. This is also where the famous 'tractor beam' was introduced, where your ship could be stolen but at the same time, you could recover it and fight with two aircraft at once! Also some nifty bonus rounds.
This is also a rare case where the NES version is a perfect port. Not a hint of difference accept screen size (the arcade monitors were taller, but the NES version is merely shrunk down, preserving the aspect ratio!) So if you loved it in the arcade, you should enjoy it on the NES just as much. Highly recommended! |

I've never played this game on the NES but, I have played it in the arcades and on the Gameboy and I can say with absolute assuredness that this is one space game from the golden age of video games that everyone should play.
