A game that has some of the best atmospheric qualities in video game history. The game definitely has structure and is the best exploration adventure game on the NES. The music and graphics are some of the finest you\'ll find in an NES game.
There are two things in particular that keep this game from being a very great game: 1- The secrets can be a little unfair to figure out. How you\'re initially supposed to find out that the heart is to be shown to the ferryman or the crystal is used to summon a tornado is just mean. If there was a clue that told you these things, like the one that tells about shallowing the lake with the blue crystal, then ok, sure, it would have fit in with the game a bit more. Some features such as walk through blocks may seem a little controversial but they are at least introduced appropriately in the game, in the first Mansion. 2- Like in symphony of the night, the game is fairly unchallenging. But even having lacking some true intensity, the game is still great, and it gives a rather relaxing world to wander around in.
