| I don't know where to begin with this game. Before it came out, it was made out to be one of the best games that would come from the NES for years to come. Swordquest (Atari 2600) was even a better game than Castlequest and that game was incredibly stupid. It's unbelievable that Nintendo would even market a game as shitty as Castlequest. |

| The art on the cover makes this game look like some sort of Castlevania type epic. It is anything but. This is perhaps the worst game I have ever played, and this is from someone who has the Back to the Future cart. The graphics are bad, the concept is bad, the sound his horrible. I don't really get the point of this game, or why anyone would buy it. Fortunately, this was just a game that I acquired when I bought a collection, so it was no loss. However, I would like to warn you all to steer clear of this "game". |

I can't add much better thoughts than the other reviewers of this piece of junk. But I have to make a confession: When the game was brand new I bounced it off three walls, rendering it several pieces of plastic crap. And, recently, because now I'm in my 30's and feeling nostalgic for the old games, bought it used to have another go at it.
This game is even more useless if you don't have the map that came with the new one. I'm a lot less violent in my old age; instead of wall food this game sits in my NES game rack, with an inch thick layer of dust. Anyone wanna buy one? CHEAP. 1 out of 10. |
