game

This game is fun and entertaining, good music, chalenging missions, expetialy when you had to line yourself up infront of your space stations opining and try to time it rught to fly throu to by stuff like missils, cannon- go with the cannons, and stuff like that. The game gets harder as you go throu the game, which is good. All in all a good game to have, expetialy on them days when you have nothing to do lol.

Didn't Like It!
By ChemicalTrain on 6/18/2003 11:30:29 PM
I'm sorry to those people who are fans of this game, but just did not enjoy it in the least bit. I guess I've never been to hot for flight simulators anyways. I just found it boring, pointless, and with bland graphics. If you think you might like it, it's worth giving a try, but I just didn't enjoy it!

6 outta 10

i used 2 love this oen back in the day too.
but it just goes too dang fast. ya cant use the missile things effectively except against bosses. and those kamakazeee jets piss me off. its turns into just another excuse to throw the controller at your little brother. "skyhawk rage". 6 outta 10 since it does have sorta nice graphics. they just go by too fast to admire.

Cool Stuff

I personally loved Captain SkyHawk. Other than the fact that the game could get a little boring after a few plays through, you had to love that the graphics really pushed the NES hardware to the limit. As well, the game doesn't bore you with too many menus, just some wicked music in between levels.

This game is not bad. The difficulty is great and an arcade combat jet shooter is a welcome change in the NES games lineup. Rating: 7.5/10

One of those games...

This is just one of those games that you would stay up all night playing

this is one of my favorite NES games. u fly a plane and shoot enemies w/ missiles and guns, and the action is pretty fast. there are some cool missions also (drop cargo in holes) and a good dogfighting round after every level. a good tip would be to invest your money at tthe end of each round for the cannon, not missiles, b/c once your cannons are upgradded well, u can hold down the button and bullets spray, and thats the best weapon for both dogfights and regular.
