By SEEDMAN on 12/19/2006 3:57:53 PM
how could this game only get a half of a star? are the ratings screwed up or what. I have this game and maybe played it for a full minute but trust me theres some worst games. Especialy since this is one of the first sports nes game made.

Better than that Tecmo one. You actually can move.

It was an alright game for NES. Wasn't as good as other football games by NES. I would rate it a 5 out of 10.

This is another great Nintendo Entertainment System classic. The graphics may not be good but thats what makes is fun. This is a Black Box game which is also worth having. I don't understand why everyone strongly thinks Tecmo Super Bowl is better. It isn't even official an Official Nintendo game. Anyway on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 meaning bad 10 meaning awsome), I would give it a 7.

bad

this game is bad. the players run in a rectangle formation . it takes five minutes to run ten yards

as a young and stupid child....

this used 2 b one of my favorite games when i was little. "what can b better than playing football on a tv screen?" i asked myself. and now i answer "A LOT OF THINGS" this game might have been good when i was a kid but that dramtically changed!!! sum advice 2 people r planning on getting this game... dont unless ur 8 or younger or u wont like it. i speak from my own experience. and most people that r still playing NES (and they r very smart people by the way) arent gonna b less than 8 years old. anyway peace out.

Cool but cheap

This game is funny to play for the first times, but at long it becomes boring. Although the game play is slow, it is simple to play!

my rate 5/10

A crappy game

I bought this game for 10 bucks at K Mart in 1997. At that time, they were resealing and selling old NES games. This one caught my eye, and I took a gamble.

I lost. This was a horrible game, and not even remotely fun to play. The "action" is EXTREMELY slow paced, the players look like little thumb tacks, and there is no real strategy involved. Want to pick out plays? Then this isn't a game for you. They didn't even get the amount of men on the field correct, and there is only 1 reciever who is always in motion. However, for him to get from one side of scrimage to the other takes about 10 minutes. Don't waste your time on this crapper. Get Tecmo Bowl or Tecmo Super Bowl instead.

In the advent of 8-bit games, this was quite cool. I own about 400 NES games. This one was a first for me.

It's decent, nuff said.

It is good

10 yard fight

I'll give Taito credit for a really cool name. Super Pro Football for the Intellivision was a better game. When you receive the kickoff, eight of yr teammates surround you, one in each direction, and follow every move you make. Then as defenders come after you, they freeze the defenders, leaving you open for the tackle. Passing is very difficult, as there is no real play calling, and you have to judge where a receiver is going and throw the ball there. Running is very basic, but never nets you a whole lot of yards. The game moves very slow, and design wise, the game was translated from a vertical screen arcade game, so a large portion of the screen is wasted space. There's a Hardcore band that shares their name with this game, as that is the only thing to take from it.
